History & Background:
Kalinga Igorot Native sorting utility basket and transportation basket 1940's, it is also used to gather raw coffee. Made of rattan, bamboo and wood. Measures 16.5" in diameter (top) , 6" (bottom) and 7.5" height. Double layered basket created with 0.6" sheets of bamboo, enforced with small round wood then weaved with fine thread of rattans. This double layered basket are mainly used for Very intricate weaving! Good addition to your basketry and ethnic collection!
